Rebecca Cooper is an International Speaker whose mission is to create awareness of disordered eating in all forms. She is a Licensed California Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), and holds a World Certificate for Psychotherapy. She is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS). Rebecca authored the book, Diets Don't Work®, CDs, DVDs, Eating Disorder Workbooks, numerous published articles, and the online disordered eating program, www.DietQ.com.
Rebecca speaks internationally (Israel, Portugal, Buenos Aries, Panama, France, South Africa, USA) about eating disorders, disordered eating and food addictions. She shares her own inspirational journey to recovery 27 years ago and the creation of the first transitional living program for people with disordered eating and Rebecca's House Eating Disorder Treatment Programs in Orange County, CA. She also created a non-profit (501.c3) to help people get treatment for eating disorders.
Rebecca's step-by-step recovery program is used throughout the country at treatment centers and by therapists. She regularly appears on television, webcasts, professional conferences and radio.
In May 2013, Rebecca was awarded the 2013 Distinguished Alumni of Pepperdine University, Malibu, CA. She was nominated for Orange County Business Journal's Women in Business Award for 2009. In October 2004, Rebecca was honored as the Rising Star in Business by WomanSage©, an event sponsored by the University of California at Irvine Medical Center.
